A student tries to connect her best friend’s death to an elite campus club on the made-for-TV movie “Are My Friends Killers?” (Lifetime Movie Networks, 8 p.m.). 

A new Friday night series on Turner Classic Movies invites immigrants to choose films that especially informed their views of the U.S. Their first choices: “To Hell and Back” (8 p.m.), “Holiday Affair” (10 p.m.) and “Cool Hand Luke” (11:45 p.m.). Then comes two dramas from 1961: “Five Minutes to Live” (2 a.m.) and “Look in Any Window” (3:30 a.m.).
