In the made-for-TV thriller “Dying for a Crown” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.), a mother and daughter relocate to Los Angeles where the mother becomes an assistant principal and the daughter tries to be the popular one. Jennifer Titus and Catharine Daddario star. 

“NFL Icons” (Epix, 10 p.m.) tells the story of Jimmy Johnson.

The made-for-TV romance “Fly Away with Me” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) involves a no-pets apartment and neighbors who have a parrot and dog respectively. Natalie Hall and Peter Mooney lead the cast.

Barbara Rush is featured in a Turner Classic Movies triple feature, in “It Came from Outer Space” (8 p.m.), “When Worlds Collide” (9:30 p.m.) and “Prince of Pirates” (11 p.m.). The midnight noir is “I Love Trouble” (12:30 a.m.). It’s followed by the documentary “John Ford, the Man Who Invented America” (2:30 a.m.) and one of that director’s movies, “Cheyenne Autumn” (3:30 a.m.).
