The new animated film “My Father’s Dragon” (Netflix, streaming) adapts the children’s book by Ruth Stiles Gannett and uses the voices of Ian McShane, Dianne Wiest, Whoopi Goldberg and Judy Greer.

A new animated series is a spinoff of the popular film franchise, “Transformers: EarthSpark” (Paramount+, streaming). Danny Pudi, Alan Tidy and Rory McCann lend voices. 

Would you believe there are seven new holiday films premiering today? Four of them are on Discovery+, each featuring a familiar face from Food Network or HGTV; “A Christmas Open House” (Discovery+, streaming) with Ben and Erin Napier; “Designing Christmas” (Discovery+, streaming) with Hilary Farr; “A Gingerbread Christmas” (Discovery+, streaming) with Duff Goldman, and “One Delicious Christmas” (Discovery+, streaming) with Bobby Flay. 

The other three Yule movies premiering are “The Christmas Retreat” (UPtv, 7 p.m.) with Rhiannon Fish and Clayton James; “In Merry Measure” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) with Patti Murin and Brendan Penny; and “The Dog Days of Christmas” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) with Georgia Flood and Ezekiel Simat. 

The spinoff “Gold Rush: White Water” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) returns for a sixth season. It’s followed by the season premiere of a talk show on the series named after the thing they dig up the most, “The Dirt” (Discovery, 10:15 p.m.).

“Ghost Brothers: Lights Out” (Discovery+, streaming) has a second season finale in a Louisville sanitorium. 

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, Robert Costa, and Rep. Ro Khanna visit “Real Time with Bill Maher” (HBO, 10 p.m.).

“Down to Earth with Zac Efron” (Netflix, streaming) returns for a second season. 

A documentary about the real life murdering nurse who was the subject of the film “Good Nurse,” “Capturing the Killer Nurse” (Netflix, streaming) makes its debut. 

“Shark Tank” (ABC, 8 p.m.) hears a pitch about luxury clothing. 

George jerry-rigs a security system on “Lopez vs. Lopez” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

“Young Rock” (NBC, 8:30 p.m.) makes a life-changing decision. 

There’s a Thanksgiving theme to “The Greatest AtHome Videos” (CBS, 8 p.m.), which I thought was going to just be a Covid-era thing. 

Jeff Davis is guest on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” (CW, 9 p.m.), which comes after a new “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” (CW, 8 p.m.).

“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) pauses to discuss what’s happened so far.

Turner Classic Movies marks Veteran’s Day all day with “The Decks Ran Red” (6 a.m.), “Forever, Darling” (7:30 a.m.), “The Story of Three Loves” (9:15 a.m.), “Sergeant York” (noon), “Where Eagles Dare” (2:15 p.m.), “The Dirty Dozen” (5:15 p.m.), “The Best Years of Our Lives” (8 p.m.) and “The Longest Day” (11 p.m.), Not part of the salute, I’m guessing, are “Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde” (2:15 a.m.) and “Prehistoric Women” (4 a.m.).
