The 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (HBO, 8 p.m.) seems especially random this year, with a slate of inductees that includes Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Carly Simon, the latter of whom didn’t even show up. Performers include Sara Bareilles, Olivia Rodrigo, Dave Grohl (performing with Richie), Steven Tyler and Ed Sheehan (performing with Eminiam), as well as Pink, Brandi Carlisle, Sheryl Crow and Zac Brown Band.

The new “Life in Color with David Attenborough” (BBC America, 8 p.m.) brings some more beguiling nature footage from the distinguished presenter, with a special interest on the color that might be beyond the human spectrum.

Prime time is dominated by college football with Oklahoma State at Oklahoma (ABC, 7:30 p.m.) and USC at UCLA (Fox, 8 p.m.).

There are four new Christmas movies premiering tonight, with “The Holiday Switch” (UPtv, 7 p.m.) with Alex Paxton-Beesley and Morgan David; “Christmas in Pine Valley” (Great American Family, 8 p.m.) with Kristina Cole and Andrew Biernat; “Three Wise Man and a Baby” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) with Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker; and “Santa Bootcamp” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) with Emily Kinney, Patrick Cassidy and Rita Moreno.

Another new made for TV film doesn’t have any ostensible Christmas tie-in. It’s “County Line: All In” (INSP, 8 p.m.) with Tom Wopat and Patricia Richardson in a sequel to the 2018 film “County Line.”

Tia and Lizzy train hounds as scent trackers for lost pets on “Pit Bulls & Parolees” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.).
