Surfing in Japan is what the new series “Chasing Waves” (Disney+, streaming) is all about.

From Argentina comes “Noise” (Netflix, streaming), a film about a woman looking for her daughter at a time her country has been waging war against women. Not to be confused with Noah Baumbach’s adaptation of “White Noise” (Netflix, streaming). 

A new version of the game show “Lingo” (CBS, 9 p.m.) sure looks like Wordle. But that grid was also used in the original 1987 version. It’s been revived a couple of times since then, and the new one, shot in the UK but using American contestants, is hosted by RuPaul Charles in place of Chuck Woolery. It comes on a night when another game show “Name That Tune” (Fox, 8 p.m.), returns for a third season. Jane Krakowski and Randy Jackson share hosting duties on that. 

The first season ends for the fantasy series “Willow” (Disney+, streaming).

“Abbott Elementary” (ABC, 9 p.m.) takes a victory round with a new episode following its Golden Globe win. 

Recruits are faced with an emergency escape drill on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” (Fox, 9 p.m.). 

“The Conners” (ABC, 8 p.m.) mourn a beloved high school teacher. 

Truth about the Bleeding Heart Killer comes out on “Big Sky” (ABC, 10 p.m.).

“Hard Knocks in Season: Arizona Cardinals” (HBO, 10 p.m.) ends its season, after the team ended at the bottom of the NFC West with a 4-13 record.
