The original show ended in 2022 after 11 seasons, but like the zombies once at the heart of the show, it won’t stay dead. The latest spin-off, “The Walking Dead: Dead City” (AMC, BBC America, IFC, Sundance, 9 p.m.) — one of six that have premiered or are in the planning — has two popular characters — Lauren Cohan’s Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan in a six-episode series set in post apocalyptic New York. It accompanies the latest episode from another spinoff, “Fear the Walking Dead” (AMC, 10:12 p.m.).
A new British detective series stars Adrian Dunbar as a retired detective inspector who is called back to work. “Ridley” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) also stars Bronagh Waugh. It accompanies the ninth and final series for the “Inspector Morse” prequel “Endeavour” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) with Shaun Evans.
The over-the-top series about an over-the-top televangelist family, “The Righteous Gemstones” (HBO, 10 p.m.) returns for a third season, with both monster trucks and stock car races both in the first of two episodes tonight. Danny McBride, John goodman and Edi Patterson all return.
In the made-for-TV romance “The Secret Sauce” (UPtv, 7 p.m.) involves a big city marketing executive who tries to license a small town barbecue recipe.
The animated “Up” (ABC, 9 p.m.) gets a network rebroadcast.
Steve tries to elude a professional human tracker on “Stone Cold Takes on America” (A&E, 10 p.m.).
“WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures” (A&E, 9 p.m.) has Rey Mysterio looking for his mask.
