British film director Alice Troughton picks the films tonight on Turner Classic Movies. Her choices: “The Hitch-Hiker” (8 p.m.) and “Withnail & I” (9:30 p.m.). The 12 o’clock noir is “Impact” (midnight), followed by two rock documentaries, “Monterey Pop” (2:15 a.m.) and “Don’t Look Back” (3:45 a.m.). 

Baseball includes Cubs at Yankees (MLB, 1 p.m.), Cincinnati at Milwaukee (Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.), Atlanta at Tampa Bay (Fox, 7:15 p.m.) and Mets at San Diego (MLB, 10 p.m.).

Are we interested in the NBA summer league? There is third round play in the John Deere Classic (Golf, 1 p.m.; CBS, 3 p.m.) and the U.S. Women’s Open (NBC, 3 p.m.). 

Soccer includes Spain vs. England (CBS Sports, noon), Panama vs. Qatar (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.) and  Mexico vs. Costa Rica (Fox Sports 1, 10 p.m.). 

There is third round play at Wimbledon (ESPN, 8 a.m.; ABC, 1 p.m.).

The Tour de France (Peacock, 6 a.m.), from Libourne to Limoges, hits Stage 8 — and a streaming service. 

Canadian football has Ottawa at Hamilton (CBS Sports, 7 p.m.). 

The U.S. track and field outdoor championships (CNBC, 9 p.m.) finds itself on a financial news network. 

The major league rugby final has San Diego vs. New England (Fox, 3 p.m.). 

St. Vincent and Joy Oladokun play a 2021 “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m.).

“Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) has a rerun from February with Woody Harrelson and Jack White.
