College pals reuniting before a wedding play a parlor game (involving electrodes) that seems to scramble their brains, switch bodies and expose secrets in the new thriller “It’s What’s Inside” (Netflix, streaming). Written and directed by Greg Jardin, it stars Brittany O’Grady, James Morosini and Gavin Leatherwood. 

Of course it won’t match the viewership of the similarly-named “Inside Out 2” (Disney+, streaming), which has been setting records since it premiered there last week, drawing 30.5 million views in its first five days.  

From India comes another thriller, about increased dependency on technology, “CTRL” (Netflix, streaming). 

And from Spain comes “The Platform 2” (Netflix, streaming), a sequel to the popular original, about a dystopian leader who is control of the eats. 

After four seasons and 40 episodes, the spinoff “Power Book II: Ghost” (Starz, 8 p.m.) starring Michael Rainey Jr. comes to an end in a series finale. 

The horror prank show “Scare Tactics” (USA, 10 p.m.) returns with a new twist, under the production of Jordan Peele of “Get Out” fame. The premiere is being simulcast on Bravo, E! And Syfy. 

In “Jack Osbourne’s Buried Bloodlines” (Travel, 8 p.m.), the host finds horror in his own family tree, forgetting perhaps that he’s the son of Ozzy.

What real estate show do you introduce in October? “Scariest House in America” (HGTV, 9 p.m.) will look for some spooky places and give the worst of them a $150,000 renovation by designer Alison Victoria. 

A different Alison, Alison Sweeney, returns as the title character in the made-for-TV “A Sprinkle of Deceit: A Hannah Swenson Mystery” (Hallmark Mystery, 9 p.m.). 

“The UnXplained” (History, 9 p.m.) returns for a seventh season with host William Shatner. 

New episodes come from the UFO series “The Proof is Out There” (History, 10 p.m.). 

“VOCES” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) profiles the Mambo Legends Orchestra. 

Ice has to be cleared before one claim can be dug on “Bering Sea Gold” (Discovery, 9:30 p.m.). 

“Gold Rush: Mine Rescue with Freddy & Juan” (Discovery, 7 p.m.) helps rookie miners in British Colombia; and at 8, in Oregon. 

Peer pressure intensifies problems on “Social Studies” (FX, 10 p.m.). 

“Fat Joe Talks” (Starz, 9 p.m.) to Method Man. 

Maggie finally tells her parents and the police about her relationship with her high school teacher on “Three Women” (Starz, 10 p.m.).

The weird travelogue “Spooked Ireland” (Travel, 10 p.m.) at least gives you a glimpse of the Emerald Isle. 

“Tia Lowry: My Next Act” (WEtv, 9:30 p.m.) looks beyond her divorce. 

Turner Classic Movies continues its Friday night series of political movies with “The Times of Harvey Milk” (8 p.m.), “The Best Man” (10 p.m.), “I Am A Fugitive from a Chain Gang” (midnight), “City Hall” (1:45 a.m.), “Strike” (3:45 a.m.) and “High and Low” (5:15 a.m.). 

Earlier in the day are MGM musicals from the 1950s, “Sombrero” (7 a.m.), “Pagan Love Song” (9 a.m.), “Ten Thousand Bedrooms” (10:30 a.m.), “For the First Time” (12:30 p.m.), “Rich, Young and Pretty” (2:15 p.m.),  “Lovely to Look At” (4 p.m.) and “The Student Prince” (6 p.m.). 

WNBA playoffs have Minnesota at Connecticut (ESPN2, 7:30 p.m.) and New York at Las Vegas (ESPN2, 9:30 p.m.). 

College football has Jacksonville State at Kennesaw State (CBS Sports, 7 p.m.), Houston at TCU (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.), Michigan State at Oregon (Fox, 9 p.m.) and Syracuse at UNLV (Fox Sports 1, 9 p.m.). 

The NHL season begins — in Prague — with New Jersey vs. Buffalo (NHL, 1 p.m.). But there’s still some preseason games, with Ottawa at Detroit (NHL, 7 p.m.) and Edmonton at Vancouver (NHL, 10 p.m.). 

And now there’s an NBA preseason game — Boston vs. Denver (NBA, noon).
