We paid tribute to rocker and producer Andy Paley, who died last week at 72, with some work from his band The Paley Brothers as well as some of the songs he produced, from Brian Wilson and Elton John to NRBQ and Jonathan Richman. We started the show by noting the passing of guitarist Vic Flick, notable on 007 themes and other key tracks of the 1960s, who died earlier this month at 87. And we closed by noting the passing of King Crimson lyricist and co-founder Pete Sinfield, who died Nov. 14 at 80.

It was 50 years ago to the day that singer-songwriter Nick Drake died at 26, so we played some of his tunes.

There were birthdays to note for Bev Bevan of ELO, turning 80; Bob Lind, 82; Stacy Latisaw, 57; as well as Mark Lanegan, born this day in 1964; and Percy Sledge (1940).

Nov. 25 was also the date in 1976 for The Last Waltz from The Band so we heard a helping of that as well.

Then it was time for Thanksgiving tunes and songs of turkey, potatoes and pies.

Here’s a link to what looks to be all but the final 20 minutes of the show (things will improve on this front). The setlist follows:
