Two sitcom veterans join forces in a new comedy “Shifting Gears” (ABC, 8 p.m.) with Kat Dennings starring as a young mother who returns to the home of her dad, played by Tim Allen. Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully are among the producers of the show that also features Seann William Scott, Jenna Elfman and Brenda Song.
A new set of celebrities (or would be celebs) make the bad choice of volunteering to participate in season two of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” (Fox, 8 p.m.).
