The latest music doc from Questlove, who won an Oscar for directing “Summer of Soul,” focuses on the 60s superstar who imploded in “Sly Lives! (Aka The Burden of Black Genius)” (Hulu, streaming). The force behind Sly & The Family Stone is seen in his rise and reign and also succumbing  the pressures that brought him back to Earth. In addition to footage of the groundbreaking band, there are interviews with Larry Graham Jr., Chaka Khan, Andre 3000, George Clinton, Q-Tip, D’Angelo and Vernon Reid, among others.

The final episodes come for the series based on the 1984 movie “Cobra Kai” (Netflix, streaming).

“Next Level Chef” (Fox, 8 p.m.) begins its fourth season, with Gordon Ramsay again hosting.

Flower interferes with the opening of Jay’s restaurant on “Ghosts” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.). 

“Matlock” (CBS, 9 p.m.) deals with a tech startup that had its secrets stolen.

A couple decides whether to get married at a Vegas wedding chapel on “Southern Hospitality” (Bravo, 9 pm.).

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” (ABC, 8 p.m.) creates a new wellness center at an Arizona cancer center.

The IRS begins to take interest in the case of “Scamanda” (ABC, 9 p.m.).

“Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini” (ABC, 10 p.m.) gets some new revelations.

Turner Classic Movies has Oscar-worthy prostitute portrayals tonight with “The Sin of Madelon Claudet” (8 p.m.), “Butterfield 8” (9:30 p.m.), “Klute” (11:30 p.m.), “Primrose Path” (1:30 a.m.) and “Anna Christie” (3:30 a.m.). 

During the day are best cinematography nominees and winners with “White Shadows in the South Seas” (6:15 a.m.), “The Naked City” (8 a.m.), “The Picture of Dorian Gray” (10 a.m.), “The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex” (noon), “Meet Me in St. Louis” (2 p.m.), “National Velvet” (4 p.m.) and “Black Narcissus” (6:15 p.m.). 

NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off continues with U.S.A. vs. Finland (ESPN, 8 p.m.) in Montreal.

NBA action has Oklahoma City at Minnesota (TNT, truTV, 8:30 p.m.).
