The fifth “Las Culturistas Culture Awards” (Bravo, 10 p.m.), given by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, and named after their podcast, bestows an array of stars accolades for an increasingly eccentric roster of categories (“Hillary Duff Award for Millennial Excellence,” for example). Taped May 30 in Los Angeles, it attracted such personalitiess as Will Ferrell, RuPaul, Hannah Einbinder of “Hacks,” Mandy Moore, Sarah Sherman and the pair from “Heated Rivalry.”
John Reynolds (“Search Party,” “Stranger Things”) wrote and stars in the new comedy film “Never Change!” (Hulu, streaming) about a graduating class in 2018 whose senior year was interrupted by a tornado and agrees to return to finish up now that they’re in their 30s. The cast also includes Topher Grace, Ana Gasteyer, Patti Harrison and Zach Cherry.
The central figure in the documentary “André is an Idiot” (Netflix, streaming) is André Ricciardi, who calls himself an idiot for skipping the colonoscopy that might have prevented what becomes terminal cancer. Facing such a death, he strives to live it up.
World Cup matches have Portugal vs. Congo DR (Fox, 1 p.m.) from Houston, England vs. Croatia (Fox, 4 p.m.) from Arlington, Texas, Ghana vs. Panama (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.) from Toronto and Uzbekistan vs. Colombia (Fox Sports 1, 10 p.m.) from Mexico City.
The new series “Million Dollar Nannies” (Freeform, 8:30 p.m.) follows a group of high end nannies who travel to Ibiza to form a new agency (where being filmed on the job is apparently OK). The cast includes social media content creators Leah Barrs, Jack McCann, Taylor Hayward and others you’ve never heard of.
Another new series, “Swamp Patrol” (A&E, 10 p.m.) gives a law enforcement angle to the gator-adjacent conflict, using body cam footage and the like.
The northernmost part of Down Under gets the focus in a new three-part nature series taken from the vantage point of First Nations. “The Kimberley: Australia’s Wild West” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) begins with a look at what’s in the rivers up there.
A 13th season begins for a new batch of survivalists on “Alone” (History, 8 p.m.) who try to survive harsh terrain (and maybe ruminate on history?).
A new season begins for “My Strange Arrest” (A&E, 9 p.m.), which by any measure should have James Comey. Instead, there’s a woman who claims her dad is Jesus.
Wolf treats an ex-con with a medical emergency during a hostage situation on “Brilliant Minds” (NBC, 8 p.m.). It’s the only new scripted show on broadcast TV tonight.
“Love & Hip Hop Miami” (BET, 8 p.m.) sees drama at Claudia’s retreat.
Dilva uncovers a new clue on “Tyler Perry’s The Oval” (BET, 9 p.m.).
“Naked and Afraid” (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.) also happens to be during that time of the month.
Kristen has anxiety about a group trip to Mexico on “The Valley” (Bravo, 8 p.m.).
Turner Classic Movies’ month-long, Wednesday night spotlight on disaster films continues with “The Towering Inferno” (8 p.m.), “Earthquake” (11 p.m.), “Crack in the World” (1:30 a.m.), “Meteor” (3:15 a.m.) and “The Swarm” (5:15 a.m.).
