We marked President’s Day with a prerecorded set that morphed to comment on the tendency of the office’s current occupant to act more like a king.
We began by celebrating the birthday of Gene Pitney, the Rockville Rocket, who was born this day in 1950, with a handful of songs. Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong turns 53, which we mark with four of his songs. We also celebrated the birthdays of late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Tommy Edwards, Bobby Lewis and Brian Wilson’s second hand man Jeffrey Foskett.
