From a creator of “Succession” comes a timely dark comedy about billionaire tech bros on a retreat at the moment the world drops into an international crisis. Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Ramy Youssef and Cory Michael Smith star in Jesse Armstrong’s ”Mountainhead” (HBO, 8 p.m.), a film with a title a little too close to “Fountainhead.”
The year’s coming attractions from the biggest streaming service are run down in a plainly self-serving annual event “Netflix Tudum 2025” (Netflix, 8 p.m.), featuring many of the stars of said shows. (Tudum is the name for the tone that rings every time you click into the service).
Felicity Huffman stars as a woman who escapes a marriage to a manipulative polygamist in the two part movie “The 13th Wife: Escaping Polygamy” (Lifetime 8 p.m.). Olga Petsa and Eric Johnson also star in the ma”de-for-TV film, based on a true story. Part two runs Sunday.
“Doctor Who” (Disney+, 2 p.m.) ends its season at an odd time, meant to coincide with the UK premiere.
A woman suspects her mother of double murder on the first of two new episodes of “48 Hours” (CBS, 9 p.m.).
“Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) is the latest in the series of made-for-TV romances shot on location, this one about a publicist and movie star. It’s followed by a previous one, “Love on the Danube: Love Song” (Hallmark, 10 p.m.).
A bride-to-be wonders whether her future hubby is a ladies’ man on “Family or Fiancé” (OWN, 8 p.m.).
“Somebody’s Son” (OWN, 9 p.m.) finds Joshua deepening his bond with Chambriel.
