Filmmaker Vicky Du traces her family’s mental illness back to the Chines Communist Revolution of 1949 in her film about multigenerational trauma “Light of the Setting Sun,” making its debut on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings). 

Both agencies shut down for the season tonight. A bioweapon from a defector is a problem on the 9th season finale of “FBI” (CBS, 8 p.m.); the first season of “CIA” (CBS, 9 p.m.) ends with some intelligence theft. 

A second season of “Hollywood Demons” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.) ends with a look at the subjects of MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” and what happened to them. 

Maggie tries to figure out what is causing Tracy’s fever on “Sullivan’s Crossing” (CW, 8 p.m.). 

“BBQ Brawl” (Food, 8 p.m.) fires up a new season, it’s seventh. 

A crew member is sacked on “Below Deck Down Under” (Bravo, 8 p.m.). 

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” (CBS, 11:35 p.m.) begins its final wee with something called “The Worst of ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ (Not a Clip Show!).” No guests are scheduled. 

A pair of episodes, covering WWII and the Aztecs ends the first season of “History’s Greatest Warriors” (History, 10 p.m.). 

“Tucci in Italy” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.) goes to Le Marche on the Adriatic, and Sardinia at 10. 

Stolen ancient artifacts may be some of the “Contraband: Seized at the Airport” (Discovery, 8 p.m.). 

The second of a two-part spotlight on Steve Martin on Turner Classic Movies has “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid” (8 p.m.), “The Jerk” (9:45 p.m.) and “Pennies from Heaven” (11:30 p.m.), followed by the similarly thematic “Broadway Melody of 1940” (1:30 p.m.) and “Gold Diggers of 1935” (3:30 a.m.). 

During the day are stories about sisters with “Devotion” (6 a.m.), “The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer” (8 a.m.), “Two Girls and a Sailor” (9:45 a.m.), “Little Women” (noon), “Double Wedding” (2 p.m.), “Meet Me in St. Louis” (3:30 p.m.) and “The Makioka Sisters” (5:30 p.m.). 

Baseball includes Cleveland at Detroit (Fox Sports 1, 6:40 p.m.) and Dodgers at San Diego (MLB, 9:30 p.m.).

The West finals begin in the NBA playoffs with San Antonio at Oklahoma City (NBC, 8:30 p.m.) in Game 1. 

Game 7 of the Eastern conference second round has Montreal at Buffalo (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.). 

WNBA action has Washington at Dallas (Peacock, 8 p.m.).
