Maggie Gyllenhaal’s take on the bride of Frankenstein, “The Bride!” (HBO, 8 p.m.), starring Oscar-winner Jessie buckley, Christian Bale and Jake Gyllenhaal, makes its premium cable debut. Peter Sarsgaard, Julianne Hough, Annette Bening and Penelope Cruz also star. 

It’s sports all around on broadcast TV. 

In the NBA playoffs, it’s Knicks at Cleveland (ABC, 8 p.m.) in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. 

Baseball has Dodgers at Milwaukee (Fox, 7:15 p.m.). Other games include Tampa Bay at Yankees (MLB, 1:35 p.m.), Seattle at Kansas City (Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.) and Texas at Angels (MLB, 10 p.m.). 

And the WNBA has Los Angeles at Las Vegas (CBS, 8 p.m.). Earlier, it’s Minnesota at Chicago (CBS, 1 p.m.).

“48 Hours” (CBS, 10 p.m.) talked to jurors on the Kouri Richins.

Tidal areas in the far north get competitive during spring’s thaw on “Primal Combat” (Nat Geo Wild, 10 p.m.).  

“When I Said I Do” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV romance about a K-9 handler and a rescue specialist. Sarah Drew and Eric Johnson star in the film, inspired by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black’s country duet of the same name. 

Another new romance tonight, “True Justice: Eye for an Eye” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.), is about a mother wrongly accused of murdering another mother in the PTA. IT stars Katherine McNamara, Nikki DeLoach, Benjamin Ayres and Markian Tarasiuk. 

A rtimely epeat of the special “The Last Laugh: Stephen Colbert” (CNN, 8 p.m.) followed by two chapters of “The History of Comedy” (CNN, 9 and 10 p.m.) that deal with political and topical humor. 

“Love and Marriage: Huntsville” (Own, 8 p.m.) goes to Guntersville for a couples’ retreat. 

A new true crime series focuses on the drug scene in 1980s Ireland in “Dublin Narcos” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.). 

The Memorial Day Weekend Marathon on Turner Classic Movies is in full swing with “The Sea Wolves” (6:15 a.m.), “Captain Newman, M.D.” (8:30 a.m.), “The Red Badge of Courage” (10:45 a.m.), “Skirts Ahoy!” (Noon), “The Steel Helmet” (2 p.m.), “Helping Hands” (3:30 p.m.), “Darby’s Rangers” (3:45 p.m.), “Take the High Ground!” (6 p.m.), “Midway” (8:30 p.m.), “Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo” (11 p.m.), “The Hook” (1:30 a.m.), “The Hasty Heart” (3:15 a.m.)and “Imitation General” (5 a.m.). 

Stanley Cup playoffs have Montreal at Carolina (TNT, 7 p.m.) in Game 2 of the Eastern conference finals.

Auto racing has the Charbroil 300 (CW, 5 p.m.).

UFL action has Birmingham at Columbus (ABC, 3 p.m.).

Cycling’s Giro d’italia (truTV, 6 a.m.) reaches its 14th stage. 

In hockey’s IIHF men’s world championship, it’s Latvia vs. U.S. (NHL, 6 a.m.), Czech Republic vs. Slovakia (NHL, 10 a.m.) and Sweden vs. Norway (NHL, 2 p.m.).

College baseball includes Citadel and Samford (ESPNU, 7:30 p.m.)

College softball includes Florida at Texas Tech (ABC, 12:30 p.m.), Oklahoma vs. Mississippi State (ESPN, 1 p.m.), Alabama at LSU (ESPN, 3 p.m.), Texas at Arizona State (ESPN, 8 p.m.) and UCLA at UCF (ESPN, 10 p.m.). 

Men’s college lacrosse has Princeton vs. Duke (ESPN2, noon) and Notre Dame vs. Syracuse (ESPN2, 2:30 p.m.) in the NCAA tournament semifinals. 

“Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m., check local listings) has Chris Stapleton, in a rerun. 

A whole summer of reruns begins on “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.), starting with one from January with Finn Wolfhard and A$AP Rocky.
