Catching up on posting a couple of shows that I taped before I went away. This one is so old, it happened just after Father’s Day, which seems like an eon ago (instead of less than three weeks). But it starts with all manner of daddy songs, father musing, relationships between father and daughter.

But there was also a bakeshop full of birthdays June 22, starting with the 78th birthday of Todd Rundgren and the 79th of Howard Kaylan of the Turtles and Flo & Eddie. Gary Beers of INXS was turning 69, Jimmy Sommerville of Bronski Beat and Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream were both turning 65; Derek Forbes of Simple Minds, 70.

Peter Asher, once of Peter & Gordon and eventually a producer of some note, was turning 82, so there were songs he sung and some he produced. Island Records founder Chris Blackwell was turning 89, so there was a sampling of the work he helped bring into the world, from Traffic to Bob Marley. And Cindi Lauper turned 73, so we heard her voice. We closed with the work of Kris Krisofferson, born on this day in 1936.

Here’s the archived show in three parts; the setlist follows:
