Will Ferrell plays a pro-golfer trying to regain his mojo in the new comedy series “The Hawk” (Netflix, streaming), which plays like the old Danny McBride sports series “Eastbound & Down” in that he’s a brash, irresponsible mostly unlikeable character. There’s a nice cast, though, with Molly Shannon as his estranged wife, Fortune Feimster as caddy and Luke Wilson as a competitor. Most of the laughs come when Ferrell ad libs.
Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker return as the daughters of the Queen of Hearts and Cinderella, respectively, in “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” (Disney, 8 p.m.), the fifth film in the teen musical fantasy series. Rita Ora and Brandy return as their respective mothers as well.
