It also stars familiar “Saturday Night Live” cast members Marcello Hernandez, Ben Marshall and Kam Patterson as well as Zach Cherry, Mike Epps and Teyana Taylor.
That movie may not be that funny, but neither will be the rescheduled White House Correspondents Association Dinner (CSPAN, 6 p.m.; CNN, 8 p.m.) which once featured comics — and came to a jolting end after an apparent assassination attempt in April. The rescheduled event will be smaller — it’s switched from the Washington Hilton to the smaller Waldorf Astoria in the Old Post Office building where Trump once ran his own hotel. This ballroom has a capacity of just 680 people instead of 2,600, and with new and beefed up security.
Trump is still planning to attend and will likely unleash his anti-press rant; originally scheduled entertainer Oz Pearlman will do his mentalist act — though he failed to predict the incident that abruptly canceled things in the spring. And in addition to the scholarship winners, a secret service agent injured at the last event will also get recognition. Coverage of arrivals begins at 6 p.m. on C-SPAN.
