The new documentary from Sara Dosa, director of “Fire of Love,” is “Time and Water” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.), which explores the life and work of the Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason, about revisiting his grandparents and their groundbreaking efforts to study Iceland’s glaciers, which like his elders, are quickly fading. 

The latest series from rapper turned TV producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is set in the underworld of British boxing. “Fightland” (Starz, 9 p.m.) stars Howard Charles as a former boxing champ and ex-con seeking vengeance against the syndicate that betrayed him. The cast also includes Nicholas Pinnock and Deborah Ayorinde. 

A second season starts for the stylized animated “Batman: Caped Crusader” (Prime Video, streaming), set in the 1940s. Produced in part by J.J. Abrams, it features Hamish Linklater in the voice of Bruce Wayne and his alter ego. 

Shark Week’s penultimate night offers “Secrets of the Great White Kill” (8 p.m.), “Sharkzilla Takes New York” (9 p.m.) (which sounds a little too close to Sharknado), and “My Strange Shark Addiction” (10 p.m.), which, if you’ve been watching all week, might well be helpful. 

Along these lines, “Mysteries From Above” (History, 10 p.m.) looks down at shark behavior. But “Shark Tank” (CNBC, 8 p.m.) is something else altogether. 

The new “Put a Ring on It: Cheathab” (OWN, 89 p.m.) is a spinoff of the “Put a Ring on It” series, focusing on couples who have had trouble with infidelity. 

It follows the first of the reunion episodes for the eighth season of “Belle Collective” (OWN, 8 p.m.). 

The made-for-TV movie “The Twin Who Lived” (Lifetime Movie Channel, 8 p.m.) could have been about Elvis. Instead it’s about a woman who starts hearing from her dead twin. 

“Love After Lockup” (WEtv, 8 p.m.) wraps up its seventh season. 

Ancient curses are the focus of “The UnXplained” (History, 9 p.m.). 

“Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness” (HBO, 9 p.m.) reaches its penultimate episode. 

Raq struggles to maintain control on “Power book III: Raising Kanan” (Starz, 8:05 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies concludes its month-long series of Friday night noir with “Sweet Smell of Success” (8 p.m.), “Touch of Evil” (10 p.m.) and “Odds Against Tomorrow” (midnight), followed by “Point Blank” (1:45 a.m.) and “Mike’s Murder” (3:30 a.m.). 

During the day are pre-code crime stories, with “Safe in Hell” (6 a.m.), “The Big Shakedown” (7:15 a.m.), “The Big House” (8:30 a.m.), “The Public Enemy” (10 a.m.), “Smart Money” (11:30 a.m.), “Two Seconds” (1 p.m.), “Three on a Match” (2:15 p.m.), “The Beast of the City” (3:30 p.m.), “Penthouse” (5 p.m.) and “The Mouthpiece” (6:30 p.m.),. 

Baseball includes Yankees at Cubs (MLB, 2 p.m.), St. Louis at Toronto (MLB, 7 p.m.), Texas at Houston (Apple TV, 8:15 p.m.), San Francisco at San Diego (Apple TV, 9:45 p.m.) and Milwaukee at Angels (MLB, 10 p.m.). 

WNBA action has Dallas at Washington (ION, 7:30 p.m.) and Indiana at Portland (ION, 10 p.m.). 

Canadian football has Montreal at Ottawa (CBS Sports, 7:30 p.m.).
