A new series spotlighting the most influential names in classical music in the 20th and 21st centuries, “Great Musicians of Our Time” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) begins with a good one: “Itzhak Perlman: Virtuoso Violinist.”

“A Day Like No Other” (Netflix, streaming) is an eight-part series about the Spanish singer Raphael. 

One of a number of recent comedy documentaries on the service, “Who is Martin Mull?” (Netflix, streaming) shows the multi-talented actor, comedian and musician who died in 2024 at 80, mostly wanted to be known for his paintings. Bob Saget began the documentary before he died in 2022; it was finished by Neil Berkeley and includes interviews with Steve Martin, Patton Oswalt, Tom Waits and David Alan-Grier. 

A second season begins for the animated “Haunted Hotel” (Netflix, streaming). 

Barbie isn’t the only Mattell toy to get a feature film. Now here’s “Matchbox: The Movie” (Apple TV, streaming) about the cars. The comedy action film by Sam Hargrave (“Extraction,” Avengers: Endgame”), stars John Cena, Jessica Biel and Sam Richardson. 

“Sheriff Country” CBS, 8 p.m.), starring Morena baccarat, returns for its second season. 

It accompanies the fifth season start for the show that spawned it, “Fire Country” (CBS, 9 p.m.). 

“Boston Blue” (CBS, 10 p.m.), the sort-of sequel to “Blue Bloods,” returns for its second season with Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green battling a Boston Strangler copycat. 

Rick Rubin concludes his discussion with the rapper and entrepreneur on the series finale of “Jay-Z in 8” (HBO, 8 p.m.).

“Scariest House in America” (HGTV, 9 p.m.) finds some likely candidates in the Midwest. 

A bleeding house is one of the oddities explored on “The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd” (History, 9 p.m.). 

“Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” (ABC, 8 p.m.) is played by Kevin Smith, Cedric the Entertainer and Lennon Parham. 

Does “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) have a new time slot? Whatever, Olivia Rodrigo performs tonight. 

“Anna Pigeon” (USA, 10 p.m.) answers a dangerous SOS call alone on the first season finale. 

A ballerina’s trust in her physical therapist proves unwise in the made-for-TV thriller “Center Stage for Murder” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.). 

“Rocky Mountain Wreckers” (Discovery, 9:09 p.m.), a series about heavy duty towing crews at high altitudes,  returns for a second season. 

Men have the power on “Ready to Love” (OWN, 8 p.m.). 

“Mothers & Daughters: Torn Apart with Iyania Vanzant” (OWN, 9 p.m.) is a special in which three generations of mothers and daughters try to work out differences before the spiritual coach and a live studio audience. 

Scotland and Northern Ireland are the flyover destinations on “Mysteries From Above” (History, 10 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies follows the documentary “Boorman and the Devil” ((8 p.m.) with some John Boorman films, “Exorcist II: The Heretic” (10 p.m.), “Hope and Glory” (12:15 a.m.), “Point Blan” (2:15 a.m.) and “In My Country” (4 a.m.). 

During the day are a trio of Jacques Tati comedies, “Jour De Fete” (8 a.m.), “Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday” (9:30 a.m.), and “Mon Oncle” (11 a.m.), followed by the political dramas “Flamingo Road” (1 p.m.), “A Lion is In the Streets” (2:45 p.m.), “A Face in the Crowd” (4:15 p.m.) and “Patterns” (6:30 p.m.). 

Hockey includes Rangers at Washington (NHL, 7 p.m.). 

College football has Florida State at Louisville (ESPN, 7 p.m.), Iowa at Washington (Fox, 9 p.m.), Washington State at Utah State (CW, 9 p.m.), Wyoming at San Jose State (CBS Sports, 9 p.m.) and Iowa State at BYU (ESPN, 10:15 p.m.). 

WNBA action has Atlanta at New York (ESPN2, 7:30 p.m.) and Golden State at Las Vegas (Peacock, 8:30 p.m.). 

Preseason basketball has Houston vs. Dallas (NBA, 8 a.m.) from China, and Memphis at Chicago (NBA, 8 p.m.). 

Soccer has Canada vs. Denmark (Fox Sports, 7 p.m.) n a women’s international friendly. 

Women’s college volleyball includes Florida at Missouri (ESPNU, 8 p.m.).
