There’s also a second season start for the new generation of “Crikey! It’s the Irwins” (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.), in which they relocate an aggressive crocodile and check a giraffe’s bum knee.
Jessica Lowndes plays a matchmaker who is interviewed for a magazine in the made-for-TV ”Over the Moon in Love” (Hallmark, 9 p.m.) with Wes Brown.
Also on tonight “Abducted: The Mary Stauffer Story” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) about the 1980 abduction and captivity of a math teacher and her eight-year-old daughter for seven weeks by a former student. Alyson Hannigan stars.
Liam Neeson stars as a snowplow driver who goes after a drug cartel in “Cold Pursuit” (HBO, 8 p.m.) making its premium cable debut. The cast also includes Tom Bateman, Tom Jackson, Emmy Possum and Laura Dern.
Also making its debut is “The Professor and the Madman” (Starz, 8 p.m.), about compiling the Oxford Dictionary in 1857, starring Mel Gibson and Sean Penn.
Might be a good time to check out the four part documentary “Tricky Dick” (CNN, 9 p.m.) played in its entirety until 1 a.m.
A stray is hiding under a shipping container on the 13th season premiere of “Pit Bulls and Parolees” (Animal Planet, 10 p.m.).
A game goes wrong at the cabin trip on “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” (OWN, 9 p.m.).
