They’re socially distanced and were already wearing masks, but the costumes on the upcoming season get a preview on a sneak preview of “The Masked Singer” (Fox, 8 p.m.). It’s part of a forward looking night on the network that also has “The 2020 Fox Fall Preview” (Fox, 9 p.m.), though I can’t imagine they could fill an hour of it.
“Our Cartoon President” (Showtime, 8:30 p.m.) returns with new episodes, this time featuring such new characters as Dr. Fauci, Andrew Cuomo and Jill Biden.

Sunday Night Football makes its debut with Dallas at Rams (NBC, 8:20 p.m.). If it’s anything like Thursday, racists will make themselves known by booing and coach facemarks will get totally fogged.

The men’s singles final puts an end to an unusual U.S. Open (ESPN, 4 p.m.).
