Written and directed by Jonah Hill in his feature directorial debut, “Mid90s” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) makes its premium cable debut. The coming of age comedy stars Sunny Suljic, Lucas Hedges and Katherine Waterston and concerns skateboarders in 1990s Los Angeles (Olan Prenatt and Na-kel Smith are pictured above).
It’s the day before the Oscars and Turner Classic Movies’ alphabetical 31 Days of Oscar is only on the Rs and Ss with “Royal Wedding” (7:15 a.m.), “San Francisco” (9 a.m.), “The Sandpiper“ (11:15 a.m.), “The Sea Wolf” (1:30 p.m.), “The Search” (3:30 p.m.), “The Secret of Santa Vittoria” (5:30 p.m.), “Sergeant York” (8 p.m.), “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” (10:30 p.m.), “7 Faces of Dr. Lao” (12:30 a.m.), “Shadow of a Doubt” (2:15 a.m.) and “Shaft” (4:15 a.m.).
Cindy Busby plays a woman inherits a café and falls for its chef (Tim Ross) in the made-for-TV romance “Hearts Down Under” (Hallmark, 9 p.m.).
Oddly, Busby is also in tonight’s made-for-TV thriller “My Husband’s Killer Girlfriend” (Lifetime), in which a mother finds that the nanny who framed her is her ex-husband’s new girlfriend. Chelsey Reist, Lane Edwards and Lucia Walters also star.
The terrific start of the documentary series “Philly D.A.” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) is rerun.
