After a nearly decade absence, the top notch Danish political drama “Borgen” is back. For the new “Borgen — Power & Glory” (Netflix, streaming) star Sidse Babette Knudsen isn’t prime minister; she’s Denmark’s new minister of foreign affairs amid a new time for her country.

Also back after a bit of a break is Seth Macfarlane’s live action sci-fi series “The Orville: New Horizons” (Hulu, streaming), which also has a bit of an addendum to its title, and much of the returning cast.

The 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign is cause for celebration in England and much of the Platinum Jubilee will be available on US on news and broadcast outlets, but ABC has a special arrangement with the BBC. Live coverage on CNN and other news outlets begin at 5 a.m. EDT; there will also be a prime time special, “Her Majesty the Queen: A Gayle King Special” (CBS, 10 p.m.). Among the interviewees: Paul McCartney. 

Game 1 of the NBA Finals has Boston at Golden State (ABC, 9 p.m.). As such, it’s also preceded by a prime time “Jimmy Kimmel Live: NBA Finals Game Night” (ABC, 8 p.m.) with guests Adam Sandler and Boban Marjanovic.

A winner is crowned in the Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals (Bounce, ION, 8 p.m.) from National Harbor.

Finales come for both “Under the Banner of Heaven” (Hulu, streaming) and season two of “Hacks” (HBO Max, streaming).

The animated “The Croods: Family Tree” (Hulu, Peacock, streaming) drops its third season episodes.
