Ending the year on a Saturday night means more countdown programming than ever before. The longest-running show also has the longest title: “Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023” (ABC, 8 and 10:30 p.m.). The Times Square event, co-hosted by Liza Koshy of “Work It,” pictured (along with Billy Porter, Ciara, D-Nice and Jessie James Decker). the evening includes performances by Duran Duran, New Edition, J-Hp and Jax.

Andy Cohen drunkenly dissed Seacrest during last year’s CNN event, giving rise to talk of less alcohol on this year’s “CNN New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen” (CNN, 8 p.m.). Cohen has assured that he and Cooper will indeed be doing some toasting. Appearances are slated from Usher, Patti LaBelle, Jack Black and Kyle Gass, REO Speedwagon, Kevin Hart, Ellie Goulding, Nick Cannon, Jennifer Lewis, John Stamos, Jean Smart, Cheri Oteri and Ava Max.

Miley Cyrus returns for her slightly wilder “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” (NBC, 10:30 p.m.) featuring as c0-host her real-life godmother Dolly Parton. Performers include Sia, rapper Latto, singer Fletcher, the band Lilly, and hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd, as well as Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman from “SNL,” whose Lorne Michaels is also producing.

With a an even more country pedigree is “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” (CBS, 8 and 10:30 p.m.) hosted by Jimmie Allen and Elle King, along with Rachel Smith of “entertainment Tonight.” Its performers include Kelsea Ballerina, Brooks & Dunn, Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, King Calaway, Sheryl Crow, Thomas Rhett and Lainey Wilson.

Times Square coverage in Spanish comes on “Bienvenido 2023” (Telemundo, 10 p.m.) and “Feliz 2023!” (Univision, 10 p.m.).
