“Taylor Mac’s 24-Decade History of Popular Music” (HBO, 9 p.m.) was first performed in 2016 at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn as a one-time event, a 24-hour presentation of 246 songs in drag. The length of the film version would be more like the abridged version I reviewed in D.C. a couple of years later.
Speaking of drag, a weekend hangout in a small Catskills town for cross-dressing men and trans men and women in the 1950s and 60s is recalled in the documentary “Casa Susanna,” making its debut on “American Experience” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings).
Lex Luthor makes his moves on the night of a Smallville meteor shower on the season finale of “Superman & Lois” (CW, 8 p.m.). It will be back for a fourth season, which is more than we can say about “Gotham Knights” (CW, 9 p.m.), the Batman spinoff that will end its only season tonight.
A limited release rom com from first released earlier this year makes its debut on network TV. “Daughter of the Bride” (Fox, 8 p.m.) stars Marcia Gay Harden and Halston Sage as a mother and daughter whose bond is tested when the mom announces her engagement to a mystery man. Andrew Richardson and Aidan Quinn also star.
“America’s Got Talent” (NBC, 8 p.m.) continues its auditions. At this rate the country will run out of candidates pretty soon.
Joel McHale is guest judge on “Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge” (NBC, 10 p.m.).
“Dancing Queens” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) have the ladies face off against each other for the first time.
