The 75th Creative Arts Emmy Awards (FXX, 8 p.m.), held last week in Los Angeles, is telecast, giving artistic, technical, music and sound awards in a number of categories. Originally planned for September, it was postposed due to the actors and writing strikes. “The Last of Us” is up for the most nominations, followed by “Succession” and “Ted Lasso.” I won’t spill the results except to say that the winners include both Tim Robinson and Barack Obama.
It runs opposite the Critics Choice Association Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements (Starz, 9 p.m.), held last month and honoring Edward James Olmos, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Ken Jeong, Jeffrey Wright, America Ferrera, Colman Domingo, Eva Longoria and the cast of “The Color Purple.”
“OWN Spotlight” (OWN, 10 p.m.) continues its own efforts promoting “The Color Purple” as producer Oprah Winfrey welcomes its star Fantasia Barrino.
The old game show gets a new locale on the new “Deal or No Deal Island” (NBC, 8:30 p.m.), hosted by Joe Manganiello, getting a sneak preview before its premiere next month.
