More than 30 years in the making, a special report on “Frontline” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) follows the progress, or lack of it, of two struggling families in Milwaukee, one Black, one white. “Two American Families: 1991-2024” continues the work of a Bill Moyers report on perseverance in the face of a shrinking middle class. First reported in 1991, it was updated in 2012 before the current version.
It comes after the first installation of a new three-part documentary “Gods of Tennis” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings), which looks at the heyday of the sport in the 1970s and 80s, starting with Billie jean King and Arthur Ashe.
“Password” (NBC, 10 p.m.) is played by Lindsey Vonn, in a week that is all about Olympics promotion.
Robin Thicke, Anthony Anderson, Walker Hayes and Rachel Bilson play “Celebrity Family Feud” (ABC, 8 p.m.).
“America’s Got Talent” (NBC, 8 p.m.) continue auditions.
