Once left to answer a phone that never rings in the White House basement, “The Night Agent” (Netflix, streaming) returns having moved up — and in the middle of the an investigation in Los Angeles that heats up quickly. Based on the novel by Michael Quirk and develoiped by Shawn Ryan of “The Shield Fame,” the new season of one of Netflix’s most popular has star Gabriel Basso is also sporting a beard.

Mark Williams is back  for the 11th season of “Father Brown” (BritBox, streaming), the crime-solving man of the cloth.  

“Carl Weber’s The Family Business: New Orleans” (BET+, streaming), set in a casino and nightclub, is a spinoff of “Carl Weber’s The Family Business” that stars Brandon T. Jackson, Lela Rochon, Pooch Hall Yvette Nicole Brown and Orlando Jones, among others. 

The misleadingly-named “Police 24/7” (CW, 8 p.m.) returns for a second season (and is only an hour long, one day a week), followed by the second season premiere of another true crime series, “Crime Nation” (CW, 9 p.m.).

A music mogul is found dead on “Law & Order” (NBC, 8 p.m.); a teen from a group home goes missing on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (NBC, 9 p.m.). 

“Lost Treasures of the Bible” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.) ends its first season looking into ing Herod. 

A college student missing after a fraternity prank is “Found” (NBC, 10 p.m.). 

The U.S. Figure Skating Championships (USA, 7 p.m.) begin in Wichita, Kansas, and stretches out four hours tonight. 

“Hell’s Kitchen” (Fox, 8 p.m.) has the four remaining chefs cook tableside. 

An impending Korfball match involves the unit on “Going Dutch” (Fox, 9:30 p.m.). 

“Animal Control” (Fox, 9 p.m.) has a fundraiser for the kennels. 

A single mother in Phoenix and her family of five get some help on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” (ABC, 8 p.m.).

A pair of episodes of “Only Murders in the Building” (ABC, 9:33 p.m.) completes the broadcaster’s showcase of the show’s season two. 

“Hollywood Squares” (CBS, 8 p.m.) settles into its regular time slot. 

There’s drama at the afterparty of Molly’s tuba concert on “Southern Charm” (Bravo, 8 p.m.).

On “Southern Hospitality” (Bravo, 9 p.m.), it stands to reason that Lake would have her own lake house, where she receives an unexpected visitor. 

Another streaming documentary series makes its way to cable with the first two episodes of last year’s “Selena and Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them” (E!, 8 p.m.) which includes an interview with the killer of the Texan music star.

An even older documentary series about the death of a celebrity, “What Happened, Brittany Murphy?” (TLC, 8 p.m.), from 2021, also comes to cable with its first two, two hour episodes back to back. 

The fourth season of British detective series “C.B. Strike” (HBO, 9 p.m.) from 2020, makes its way to once premium cable. It was formerly seen on Cinemax. 

Social media influencers who are old movie fans host a New Voices of the Cinema night on Turner Classic Movies. Their picks: “Merrily We Go to Hell” (8 p.m.), “A Foreign Affair” (9:30 p.m.) and “All That Heaven Allows” (11:45 p.m.). Then comes some stories of unexpected guests, in “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” (1:30 a.m.) and “To Sleep with Anger” (3:45 a.m.). 

During the day, it’s a tribute to the German-British actor Conrad Veidt, born this day in 1893, with “The Beloved Rogue” (7:15 a.m.), “U-Boat 29” (9 a.m.), “Escape” (10:30 a.m.), “The Thief of Bagdad” (12:15 p.m.), ”A Woman’s Face” (2:15 p.m.), “All Through the Night” (4:15 p.m.) and “Nazi Agent” (6:15 p.m.). 

Basketball includes San Antonio at Indiana (NBA, 2 p.m.), Miami at Milwaukee (TNT, truTV, 7:30 p.m.) and Boston at Lakers (TNT, truTV, 10 p.m.).
