David Oyelowo stars in the quirky new series “Government Cheese” (Apple TV+, streaming), about a convicted burglar newly released from prison who invents a new kind of power drill. Set in late 60s L.A., it mixes notions of faith with a fast-pace.

With one network show already dealing with a Conan Arthur Doyle character, here’s another. In the new series “Sherlock & Daughter” (CW, 9 p.m.), a young American woman finds she might be the daughter of Sherlock Holmes, as the two of them try to solve her mother’s murder. David Thewlis (“Harry Potter,” “Fargo”) stars with Blu Hunt (“The Originals”).

From the U.K. comes the series “The Stolen Girl” (Freeform, 10 p.m.) about a girl who goes missing after a sleepover, leading to a European-wide hunt. Holliday Grainger and Denise Gough star in the adaptation of Alex Dahl’s novel “Playdate.”

“Abbott Elementary” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.) ends its fourth season with a rip to the Please Touch Museum.

Anjelica Huston, Matthew Rhys and Oliver Jackson-Cohen star in the new limited series “Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero” (BritBox, streaming) adapts the mystery author’s 1944 novel, set in 1936 England. It unfolds over three days, today through Friday. 

The second and final film in Alex Gibney’s documentary series “The Dark Money Game” (HBO, 9 p.m.) looks at the history of campaign finance and its undoing by the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision of 2010. 

Roseanne is dead on “The Conners” (ABC, 8 p.m.) and John Goodman is doing big work on two current series. 

“Chicago Med” (NBC, 8 p.m.) treats a snakebite; “Chicago Fire” (NBC, 9 p.m.) investigates a disastrous blaze; and “Chicago P.D.” (NBC, 10 p.m.) investigates shadowy dealings of the deputy chief. 

A bride is target of a murder plot on “Wild Cards” (CW, 8 p.m.).  

“The Amazing Race” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) goes to Bulgaria for the first time. 

Josh Gates reports on the Titanic sinking, the death of Harry Houdini and lost Civil War gold on the second season premiere of “Expedition Files” (Discovery, 9 p.m.). 

“Ghost Adventures” (Discovery, 10 p.m.) begins a new season by poking around the house used for the “Poltergeist” movie in 1982. They do know it was only a movie, right?

It’s down to the final six on “The Masked Singer” (Fox, 8 p.m.), where the last celebrity unmasked was Erika Jayne. Who doesn’t sound like much of a celebrity, but neither do tonight’s players of “Celebrity Jeopardy!” (ABC, 9 p.m.) — David Friedberg, Sean Gunn and Mina Kimes.

There’s a laptop theft on “What Would You Do?” (ABC, 10 p.m.). 

“Nova” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) looks at how forest ecosystems can help tackle climate change. 

Players must pair up on “Survivor” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

“The Future of Nature” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) ends its four-episode season looking at how humans have worked with nature, from Brazil to China to Los Angeles.

Rains end the drought and buffalo herds return on “Nature” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings). 

On “All the Queen’s Men” (BET, 10 p.m.), Amp confronts Big D. 

Laura is at odds with her future in-laws on “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” (BET, 9 p.m.). 

“Summer House” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) celebrates Lindsay’s last birthday before motherhood.

A winter storm approaches on “Stadium Lockup” (A&E, 9 p.m.). 

“The Challenge All Stars: Rivals” (MTV, 8 p.m.) names a winner in its fifth season finale. 

Holy Week brings stories of Christ on the Wednesday series of faith films on Turner Classic Movies with “The Greatest Story Ever Told” (8 p.m.), “Jesus Christ Superstar” (11:30 p.m.), “King of Kings” (1:30 a.m.) and “The Gospel of St. Matthew” (4:30 a.m.).

During the day are films with Peter Ustinov with “Lady L” (6 a.m.), “Hot Millions” (8 a.m.), “The Sundowners” (10 a.m.), “Quo Vadis” (12:30 p.m.), “Beau Brummell” (3:30 p.m.) and “Billy Budd” (5:30 p.m.).

NBA’s play-in tournament continues with Miami at Chicago (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.) and Dallas at Sacramento (ESPN, 10 p.m.).
