Stephen King is executive producer of a new series adapting his sci-fi novel “The Institute” (MGM+, 9 p.m.) about telekinetic teens who are held in a sinister facility that tests to see what gives them such powers. The cast includes Mary-Louise Parker, as the diabolical head of the institute, and Ben Barnes. 

The 40th anniversary of the big concert event held on two continents to raise money for Ethiopian famine brings a new four-part documentary on the event, “Live Aid: When Rock ’n’ Roll Took on the World” (CNN, 9 pm.). Many of the performers are interviewed including the one who dreamed up the benefit, Bob Geldof. 

It accompanies a second new documentary series, about a group of West Coast investors and eventual crooks from he 1980s, “Billionaire Boys’ Club” (CNN, 10 p.m.). 

Tonight is the finale of “Love Island USA” (Peacock, 9 p.m.) and if it’s anything like the rest of the season, it will move at a glacial pace. Will we even remember these people who have been on every night for six weeks? Well the ones who were on last summer reunite for a new spinoff “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” (Peacock, 10 p.m.) featuring names like Serna, Leah, JaNa, Kordell and Nicole (any ring a bell?).

The season’s first Sunday night episode of “Big Brother” (CBS, 8 p.m.) also brings the season’s first nominees for eviction. The live feeds also begin tonight on Paramount+ at 12:30 a.m.. 

The new dating series “Kings Court” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) seems a logical spinoff of the original Peacock series “!Queens Court.” Here three celebrities — model Tyson Beckford, NBA star Carlos Boozer and WWE’s Thaddeus “Titus O’Neil” Bullard — look for a spark from 21 single women. 

“Dexter: Resurrection” (Showtime, 9 p.m.), which premiered on Paramount+ on Friday, gets its cable premiere at the home of the original series. Michael C. Hall returns in a series that also includes Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage and Krysten Ritter. Two episodes of the spinoff precede a new episode of “The Chi” (Showtime, 10 p.m.). . 

Merritt Wever guest stars as Mrs. Russell’s a little less uptight sister on “The Gilded Age” (HBO, 9 p.m.). 

“Secrets of the Zoo: Down Under” (Nat Geo Wild, 9 p.m.) ends its fifth season with a bath for the elephants. 

A body disappears from the morgue on “Patience” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings). 

The true crime “Evil Lives Here” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.) returns for its 18th season, which seems to suggest evil is here to stay. 

Leonard’s drinking lands him in jail on “Grantchester” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings). 

“Shark Quest: Hunt for the Apex Predator” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.) extends the channel’s Sharkfest. 

Captain Nemo and his crew go ashore on an island they thin is deserted on “Nautilus” (AMC, 9 p.m.).

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) begin their reunion episodes.

Stoke your conspiracy theories with “The Plot to Kill Trump: One Year Later” (NewsNation, 9 p.m.). 

“If I Go Missing” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV thriller about a true-crime fan who searches for a neighborhood killer who cause the disappearance of her best friend.

A haunted doll is among the “Paranormal Caught on Camera” (Travel, 9 p.m.). 

“Leguizamo Does America” (MSNBC, 9 p.m.) goes to Phoenix. 

The three finalists compete for the $100,000 prize on the season three finale of “Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing” (discovery, 8 p.m.).

“Hazardous History with Henry Winkler” (History, 9 p.m.) looks at dangerous travel. 

A Texan looks for love in Singapore on “Match Me Abroad” (TLC, 10 p.m.).

“How Did They Fix That?” (Smithsonian, 9 p.m.) deals with an Australian theme park after a cyclone. 

Turner Classic Movies has a pair of Cold War dramas, “Fail Safe” (8 p.m.) and “The Bedford Incident” (10 p.m.). The silent movie at 12 is the Harold Lloyd comedy “The Kid Brother” (midnight) followed by two imports from Sweden, “Only One Night” (2 a.m.) and “Here is Your Life” (3:45 a.m.). 

The men’s final at Wimbledon (ESPN, 11 a.m.) has Jannik Sinner of Italy vs. Carlos Alcaraz of Spain. Their match follows the women’s doubles final at 8 a.m. 

Baseball includes Cubs at Yankees (MLB, 1:30 p.m.). And there’s coverage of the first round of the Draft (ESPN, 6 p.m.).

WNBA action has Dallas at Indiana (ABC, 1 p.m.).

The NBA summer league has Phoenix vs. Atlanta (NBA, 3:30 p.m.), Detroit vs. Houston (ESPN2, 4 p.m.), New York vs. Boston (NBA, 5:30 p.m.), Toronto vs. Orlando (ESPN2, 6 p.m.), Miami vs. Cleveland (NBA, 7:30 p.m.), Brooklyn vs. Washington (ESPN2, 8 p.m.), Milwaukee vs. Clippers (NBA, 9:30 p.m.) and Golden State vs. Utah (ESPN2, 10 p.m.). 

Final rounds are played in the Scottish Open (Golf, 10 a.m.; CBS, noon) and the American Century Championship (NBC, 2:30 p.m.). 

Motor sports include the Germany Grand Prix (Fox Sports 2, 7:30 a.m.), the IndyCar Sync 275 (Fox, 1 p.m.), the Chevrolet Grand Prix (USA, 2 p.m.) and NASCAR’s Toyota Save Mart 350 (TNT, 3:30 p.m.). 

Women’s soccer includes England vs. Wales (Fox Sports 1, 3 p.m.), Netherlands vs. France (Fox Sports 2, 3 p.m.), Bolivia vs. Paraguay (Fox Sports 1, 5 p.m.) and Brazil vs. Venezuela (Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.).

It’s also Chelsea vs. Paris Saint-Germain (TBS, 3 p.m.) in the FIFA Club World Cup Soccer final.
