The world of “It,” populated by the creepy sewer-dwelling clown Pennywise, based on the Stephen King’s book, expands its world to series TV tonight with the prequel “IT: Welcome to Derry,” (HBO, 9 p.m.) from the director of the “It” films, Andy Muschetti and set in the Maine town where the action is set, circa 1960. Taylour Paige and Jovan Adepo star. And Bill Skarsgård reprises his role as Pennywise.
Another fictional small town with big problems, Kingstown, Mich., is back in the limelight for a fourth season of “Mayor of Kingstown” (Paramount+, streaming) with Jeremy Renner.
Last week’s daylight heist in Paris turns into an instant documentary with “The Heist: The Louvre’s Stolen Crown Jewels” (CNN, 8 p.m.). That heist is also pretty similar to the plot of “Gold” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings).
Sunday Night Football has Green Bay at Pittsburgh (NBC, 8:15 p.m.). Earlier games include Chicago at Baltimore (CBS, 1 p.m.), Giants at Philadelphia (Fox, 1 p.m.) and Dallas at Denver (CBS, 4:25 p.m.).
After “Interview with the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches” a third series from the horror writer is “Anne Rice’s Talmasca: The Secret Order” (AMC, 9 p.m.), about an agency charged with tracking and containing witches, vampires and other creatures. The cast includes Nicholas Denton, Celine Buckens, William Fichtner and Elizabeth McGovern. Eric Bogosian and Jason Schwartzman pop up as guest stars. IT begins tonight with a pair of episodes, simulcast on IFC, WETV, BBC America and Sundance.
“Maigret” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) suffers a personal blow.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (NBC, 12:05 a.m.) for some reason has a post-football Sunday night edition with guests Alex Rodriguez. Florence & The Machine performs.
Springfield’s men are in crisis on “The Simpsons” (Fox, 8 p.m.).
“Universal Basic Guys” (Fox, 8:30 p.m.) go down the shore.
A wine festival causes a famine on “Krapopolis” (Fox, 9 p.m.).

Eleven remaining singers get on the tour bus for Dallas to open for Keith Urban on “The Road” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.).

For some reason, “Married at First Sight” (Bravo, 8:45 p.m.) moves to another cable network, starting with episode one of season 19.
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) travel to Nevis.
A large black mamba is hiding in a pile of scrap metal on “Snakes in the City” (Nat Geo Wild, 9 p.m.).
“Secret Lives of Sister Wives” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV framatization set in a religious polygamous community usually glimpsed on “Sister Wives” (TLC, 10 p.m.), which tonight celebrates the holidays.
The final two teams create spell-casting scenes on “Halloween Wars” (Food, 9 p.m.).
“Deck the Halls on Cherry Lane” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV holiday romance that’s the fourth in the series. Ben Hollingsworth, John Brotherton, Eric Cahill and Chelsea Hobbs star.
“Tony Shalhoub Breaking Bread” (CNN, 9 p.m.) travels to São Paulo, Brazil.
The machinations of the annual Mardi Gras parade is the subject of “New Orleans: Soul of a City” (CNN, 10 p.m.).
