Mariah Carey, Andrea Bocelli headline the Winter Olympics 2026 Opening Ceremony (NBC, 2 p.m., repeated at 8 p.m.) from Italy. Other performers include pianist Lang Lang, singer Laura Pausini, rapper Ghali, “White Lotus” actor Sabrina Impacciatore and performer Pierfrancesco Favino. 

Once more, the event at San Siro Stadium, produced by Balich Wonder Studio will also feature 1,200 volunteers, over 500 musicians and 1,400 costumes. 

The Olympic cauldron will be lit at two sites for the first time — Milan and Cortina — after the parade of nations. Among the torchbearers will be Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams of “Heated Rivalry” (HBO Max, streaming). Coverage begins at noon.

The documentary “Queen of Chess” (Netflix, streaming) follows the 12-year-old Hungarian girl who dominated the international world of chess. 

Kate Winslet narrates a documentary about King Charles III, “Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision” (Prime Video, streaming). 

From Spain comes the mystery “Salvador” (Netflix, streaming), about a father looking to spring his daughter from a neo-Nazi group.

From South Africa comes the rom-com “Yoh! Bestie” (Netflix, streaming) about a woman who agrees to be her best friend’s best man. But things get complicated. 

“Spartacus: House of Ashur” (Starz, 9 p.m.) ends its season

The other half of contestants perform in the talent show on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” (MTV, 8 p.m.). Guest judges are Amy Taylor and Amyl and the Sniffers. 

“Gold Rush” (Discovery, 8 p.m.) goes on a midnight run. 

The reunion episodes continue on “Ready to Love” (OWN, 8 p.m.).

“The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast” (Starz, 10:05 p.m.) looks at the time an organization was affected by a deadly shooting at Atlanta’s hottest nightclub. 

Lukas faces betrayal on “The Nowhere Man” (Starz, 8:05 pm.). 

The very complicated week of Bugs Bunny cartoons begins with three cartoons of the hare in the wild — “Rabbit Fire” (8 p.m.), “Rabbit Seasoning” (8:10 p.m.) and “Duck! Rabbit, Duck!” (8:20 p.m.) — before “Man in the Wilderness” (8:30 p.m.). Then there are three ‘toons with Daffy Duck — “Ali Baba Bunny” (10:30 p.m.), “Show Biz Bugs” (10:40 p.m.) and “The Abominable Snow Rabbit” (10:50 p.m.) — before “Palm Springs Weekend” (11 p.m.). And finally three Bugs fairy tales — “Little Red Riding Rabbit” (1 a.m.), “Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears” (1:10 a.m.) and “Beanstalk Bunny” (1:20 a.m.) — come before “Jack and the Beanstalk” (1:30 a.m.), “The Glass Slipper” (3 a.m.) and “Tom Thumb” (5 a.m.).
