Valentine’s tie seems as good a time as any for another season of “Love is Blind” (Netflix, streaming), this one featuring Ohio singles who try to woo one another with out seeing one another. Things move quickly; there’s a proposal in the first episode. When others try to decide who among two candidates to choose, it seems that some worthy candidates will be left empty-handed.
The first six episodes are available today, ending with their getting-to-know one another in Cancun for all of the couples but one. Another two come the next two Wednesdays with the wedding day finale set for March 12. With any luck, there will be more couples than last season, when every woman declined to say “I do.”
From Poland comes the series “Lead Children” (Netflix, streaming), a drama about a young doctor in the 1970s who risks her career and safety to save children suffering from lead poisoning because of a smelting plant in town.
From Brazil comes the film “State of Fear” (Netflix, streaming), about a lawyer with underworld ties who must deal with police to rescue her kidnapped niece.
A second season starts for “Kohrra” (Netflix, streaming), the Indian Punjabi-language crime thriller police procedural following its award-winning first season in 2023.
A second season also comes for “Cross” (Prime Video, streaming), the detective series about a forensic psychologist who now is after a vigilante hunting down corrupt billionaires.
“The Masked Singer” (Fox, 8 p.m.) has a Valentine’s Day episode that celebrates the movie “Twilight.”
The problem with “Primetime in Milan” (NBC, 8 p.m.) is having heard the results earlier in the day.
