Completely unrelated to the first season, except for the name and its premise of conflict, “Beef” (Netflix, streaming) is back and set at a high-end California resort where an embattled general manager often battles with his own wife. One of their dust ups is filmed by a Gen Z couple struggling on the resort’s bottom rung and the beef is on.

As in the first season, it spins out surprisingly from there and this one has a tremendous cast with Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan as the battlin’ couple and Cailee Spaeny and Charles Melton as the younger pair. There’s still a Korean angle here from creator Lee Sung Jin that comes from the shadowy foreign owners of the place. And its eight episodes, often darkly funny, fairly fly by.
