Twin brother OB/GYNs, hockey playing brothers, father-son cancer survivors, roller derby moms, a pair of Southern firefighters and two female country singers — one related to John Wayne, the other to Daniel Boone — are among the 11 teams competing on the upcoming season of “The Amazing Race,” CBS announced Wednesday.
The 22nd season of the show starts Feb. 17 and its 30,000 mile trip will include skydiving in Bora Bora, a Shemozzle race in New Zealand, a scorpion hunt in Botswana and a mountain climb in Switzerland.
There’s a twist in the competition for $1 million as well, with the team making the first pit stop getting two Express Passes, one to keep and one to be given to another team by the end of the fourth leg. Phil Keoghan returns to host.
