Mirror Ball Statue winners from the second and fifth seasons of “Dancing with the Stars” were eliminated from the “all-stars” edition of the show Tuesday in a double elimination.

Drew Lachey, who won in the second season of the show, and race car driver Helio Castroneves, who won in the fifth, were eliminated after being in about the middle of the pack of the 11 remaining dancers, at least as far as judges’ scores, with Castroneves averaging 23.3 in three dances this season and Lachey averaging 22.7. The audience booed.

Lachey kicked off the performance show Monday with a cha-cha with Anna Trebunskaya to Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love,” which earned a respectable straight 8 out of 10 from all three judges. Castroneves scored even higher for his quickstep with Chelsie Hightower to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s “Mr. Pinkstripe Suit,” earning three scores of 7.5 for a 25.5 – tying for fourth place.

They are the first two former first place winners to be eliminated this season; of the two who went home earlier, Pamela Anderson finished sixth in her season; Joey Fatone second.

In the bottom four with two eliminated dancers Tuesday, were Kirstie Alley, who has been maintaining a lower average score than the two ousted, and Sabrina Bryant, who has the second highest average score from judges this season, behind only Gilles Marini.

Deemed safe was the lowest scored dancer for the second week in a row, Bristol Palin.
