Roman-Polanski-Odd-Man-OutMarina Zenovich, who chronicled the prickly sitiation in the 2008 “Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired,” follows up with “Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out” (Showtime, 9 p.m.). It covers what happened since then to the director: chiefly a 2009 arrest in Switzerland about a 1978 statutory rape case, followed by the ultimate decision after seven months in Swiss detention not to extradite him to the U.S. It is not paired with a classic Polanski movie, though. Instead: “Step Up Revolution” (Showtime, 7:15 p.m.).

If it wasn’t strong enough last week, this week’s installation of “The Hollow Crown” on “Great Performances” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) steps up a bit with Jeremy Irons taking the crown in “Henry IV: Part 1” and a cast that includes Simon Russell Beale as Falstaff, Julie Walters, Will Attenborough, John Ashton, Joe Armstrong and, if you look quickly, Michelle Dockery – Lady Mary from “Downton Abbey.” Richard Eyre directs from his own screenplay adaptation of the Bard.

“Hawaii Five-0” CBS, 9 p.m.) moves to a new night to start its new season, setting the stage for the other Friday night cops drama, “Blue Bloods” (CBS, 10 p.m.).

Pro-business reality shows are back to back on Fridays now too with the fifth season premiere of “Undercover Boss” (CBS, 8 p.m.) followed by a new “Shark Tank” (ABC, 9 p.m.).

Easy Bake Ovens are expressly forbidden from the set on the new “Masterchef Junior” (Fox, 8 p.m.).

It’s already that point in the season where they’re showing leftover footage on “America’s Next Top Model” (The CW, 9 p.m.).

The dating show “Perfect Score” (The CW, 8 p.m.) reaches its first season finale.
