“Mondays at Racine” (HBO, 9 p.m.) is an Oscar-nominated documentary short about a beauty parlor who dedicate one night a month to women undergoing chemo. It’s followed by two other Oscar documentary short nominees, “Redemption” (HBO, 9:40 p.m.) which is not about religion, but recycling; and “Open Heart” (HBO, 10:20 p.m.), aobut a cardiologist from italy working on Rwandan patients.
The unominated documentary “True Evel” (Discovery, 10 p.m.), meanwhile, reviews the daredevil career of Evil Knievel.
The auditions are done on “The Voice” (NBC, 9 p.m.) and the battle rounds begin. Judges get ready to exercise the steal on singers who don’t win their battles. What might be fun are the coaches’ helpers, starting with Blake Shelton who brings along Cher. Cee-Lo Green has R&B singer Miguel; Christina Aguilera teams with Ed Sheeran and Adam Levine works with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.
With sentimental favorite Valerie Harper out of “Dancing with the Stars” (ABC, 8 p.m.), the average age of remaining contestants goes down considerably. Next to go? Probably comic Bill Engvall. Theme this week is Most Memorable Year.
The second casualty of the fall season is the dim comedy “We Are Men.” Taking its place tonight is a rerun of “Big Bang Theory” (CBS, 9 p.m.).
Pro football hall of fame running back Earl Campbell stops in at “Genealogy Roadshow” (PBS, 9 p.m.).
An unidentified boy is found on “Sleepy Hollow” (Fox, 9 p.m.) and I hope he doesn’t have any ties to literature.
They are apparently making stew tonight on “The Blacklist” (NBC, 10 p.m.). No actually, they battle a villain with the name Stewmaker.
The wedding that won’t end continues on “How I Met Your Mother” (CBS, 8 p.m.).
“Castle” (ABC, 10 p.m.) has a groupie who is also a murder suspect.
Because Paula Deen is the subject on “E! True Hollywood Story” (E!, 10 p.m.), it may have to be bleeped.
The wedding on “Bones” (Fox, 8 p.m.), meanwhile, doesn’t happen until next week, but they have their own planning to do.
Some of the best bits from 20 seasons of “Top Gear” are collected for the special “Top Gear: Top 41” (BBC America, 9 p.m.), kicking off the new season.
Surprise, the “2 Broke Girls” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) can’t figure out how a cappuccino machine works.

The Ritz Inn in Niagara Falls gets some spiffing up on “Hotel Impossible” (Travel, 10 p.m.).
The pretty good new reality series “Dream School” (Sundance, 10 p.m.) with some more visiting teachers including Soledad O’Brien, Jeff Corwin and choreographer Doriana Sanchez. What’s interesting about the show is that it’s open to all the things go wrong with the dream.
Film history moves forward on Turner Classic Movies with the latest chapter in their documentary “The Story of Film: An Odyssey: 1957-1964 – Shock of the New, Modern Filmmaking in Western Europe” (10 p.m.) surrounded by examples, Fellini’s “Nights of Cabria” (8 p.m.), Bergman’s “Winter Light” (11:15 p.m.), Bresson’s “Pickpocket” (12:45 a.m.), Varda’s “Cleo from 5 to 7” (2:15 a.m.), Truffaut’s “The 400 Blows” (3:45 a.m.) and Visconti’s “Rocco and his Brothers” (5:30 a.m.).
