Elsewhere, it’s a night of anniversaries. The 100th episode of “The Middle” (ABC, 8 p.m.) fittingly takes place during the centennial celebration of their town. To help mark the 300th episode of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (CBS, ), Marg Helgenberger’s character Catherine Willows returns to help solve a long-running case.
The newly reanimated Kyle gets his Frankenstein thing going on “American Horror Story: Coven” (FX, 10 p.m.).
The latest casualty of the fall season is the Blair Underwood version of “Ironside” (NBC, 10 p.m.), cancelled after just three episodes. Next week, a midweek edition of “Dateline” will fill the slot until January.
The four-part mini-series “A Young Doctor’s Notebook” (Ovation, 10 p.m.), in which a young doctor played by Daniel Radcliffe, turns into an older addicted doctor played by Jon Hamm, reaches its finale.
Gloria gets a male nanny on “Modern Family” (ABC, 9 p.m.).
Remaining contestants on “Top Chef” (Bravo, 10 p.m.) have to cook a Vietnamese dinner.
D.C. Chef Jose Andres takes a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico in “The Getaway” (Esquire, 9 p.m.). A mountain bike race takes place on “Boundless” (Esquire, 10 p.m.).
Scarlett is ordered to up the sex appeal on “Nashville” (ABC, 10 p.m.).
A Goth kid is sent to a camp for troubled youth on “South Park” (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.).
Robert Osborne chooses the movies tonight on Turner Classic Movies with “Two Girls and a Sailor” (8 p.m.), “Castle on the Hudson” (10:15 p.m.), “Trader Horn” (midnight), “Malaya” (2:15 a.m.) and “Macao” (4 a.m.).
Turns out the NBA season doesn’t start until next Tuesday. So some more preseason games tonight with Brooklyn at Boston (ESPN, 7 p.m.) and Chicago at Oklahoma City (ESPN, 9:30 p.m.).
