A made for TV movie “The Cannibal in the Jungle” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.) is about a guy convicted of eating two colleagues, blaming a prehistoric monster. That’s the only tie to Animal Planet apparently. It comes after another complete lie: “Megalodon: The Extended Cut” (Animal Planet, 7 p.m.), this one impersonating a documentary.
“Battle Creek” (CBS, 10 p.m.) has its series finale. Despite a pilot written years ago by Vince Gilligan, the network found a way to mess it up.
The other two new scripted shows broadcast tonight are “A.D.: The Bible Continues” (NBC, 9 p.m.) and “American Odyssey” (NBC, 10 p.m.).
Last week, it featured the same Coke commercial as “Mad Men.” This week, “Happyish” (Showtime, 9:30 p.m.) is equally as timely with a train mishap.
