A made for TV movie “The Cannibal in the Jungle” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.) is about a guy convicted of eating two colleagues, blaming a prehistoric monster. That’s the only tie to Animal Planet apparently. It comes after another complete lie: “Megalodon: The Extended Cut” (Animal Planet, 7 p.m.), this one impersonating a documentary.

“Battle Creek” (CBS, 10 p.m.) has its series finale. Despite a pilot written years ago by Vince Gilligan, the network found a way to mess it up.

The other two new scripted shows broadcast tonight are “A.D.: The Bible Continues” (NBC, 9 p.m.) and “American Odyssey” (NBC, 10 p.m.).

 

Last week, it featured the same Coke commercial as “Mad Men.” This week, “Happyish” (Showtime, 9:30  p.m.) is equally as timely with a train mishap.

“Nurse Jackie” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) tries to purge her stash with Eddie, but it all goes wrong.

Sansa reaches out to Theon on “Game of Thrones” (HBO, 9 p.m.).

Financial problems continue to plague Pied Piper on “Silicon Valley” (HBO, 10 p.m.), such that they may have to merge with a rival company.

Hugh Laurie’s Tom James is causing problems on “Veep” (HBO, 10:30 p.m.).

A season finale occurs on “The Lizzie Borden Chronicles” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.), with Lizzie going to Boston.

If it’s Sunday, it’s not “Meet the Press.” Instead, coverage of the Monaco Grand Prix (NBC, 7:30 a.m.). Other auto racing today includes the Indianapolis 500 (ABC, noon) and the Coca-Cola 500 (Fox, 6 p.m.).

The Memorial Day weekend-long marathon of war movies continues with “Sahara” (6 a.m.), “Across the Pacific” (8 a.m.), “Action in the North Atlantic” (9:45 a.m.), “The Story of G.I. Joe” (midnight), “Bataan” (2 p.m.), “A Walk in the Sun” (4 p.m.), “The Steel Helmet” (6 p.m.), “Men in War” (8 p.m.), “MASH” (10 p.m.), “The Big Parade” (12:15 a.m.), “Grand Illusion” (3 a.m.) and “Flying Leathernecks” (5 a.m.).

 

It’s Atlanta at Cleveland (TNT, 8:30 p.m.) in game 3 of their NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

It’s Tampa Bay at Rangers (NBC Sports, 8 p.m.) in the Stanley Cup’s Eastern conference finals, game 5.

 

Sunday Night Baseball has Rangers at Yankees (ESPN, 8 p.m.).

In tennis, early round play begins in the French Open (ESPN, 5 a.m.; NBC, 1 p.m.).
