iZombieZombies arise all over this October week, with “The Walking Dead” returning Sunday (with a weeklong marathon until then), the band The Zombies playing in D.C. Thursday, and tonight, the return of the more lighthearted of the TV fare, “iZombie” (The CW, 9 p.m.), in which a young woman played by Rose McIver learned what were on people’s minds by eating their brains. It’s all part of a season premiere night on the network whose fall rollout comes later than most, and which also includes the return of “The Flash” (The CW, 8 p.m.).

Postseason baseball begins with its most succinct series: The one-game American League Wild Card game with Houston at Yankees (ESPN, 8 p.m.), leading to a World Series that won’t even start until Oct. 27.

The women of the Legends Football League are followed in the new reality series “Pretty. Strong.” (Oxygen, 10 p.m.).

A pair of missing lion cubs are found in the finale of the three-episode “Gorongosa Park: Rebirth of Paradise” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings).

Jake McDorman and Analeigh Tipton became a real life couple even though their romantic sitcom “Manhattan Love Story” was canceled last year in its first season. They’re together briefly on screen again when she appears as his character’s ex on his new show “Limitless” (CBS, 10 p.m.).

Women fight, as usual, in the season one finale of “WAGs” (E!, 10 p.m.), an acronym for wives and girlfriends.

The story of game maker Milton Bradley is part of tonight’s “Drunk History” (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.).

Sometimes it makes more sense to watch other people watch Bravo shows like “The Real Housewives of Orange County” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) or “Below Deck” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) than to watch them unfiltered. Hence, a new season of “The People’s Couch” (Bravo. 10 p.m.) begins.

Wilkin is enlisted to go on a covert mission on “The Bastard Executioner” (FX, 10 p.m.), a show that often goes past its allotted hour.

The second of the three part “My Brother’s Bomber” is on “Frontline” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings).

Halloween approaches on “Scream Queens” (Fox, 9 p.m.).

Nick Offerman advises Kermit on “The Muppets” (ABC, 8 p.m.), where Christina Applegate is guest on Miss Piggy’s show.

Gerald takes the family to the beach on a new “Grandfathered” (Fox, 8 p.m.). Dean wants to try a new case on “The Grinder” (Fox, 8:30 p.m.).

Shaquille O’Neal finally makes an appearance on “Fresh Off the Boat” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.) and he’s also on “Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris” (NBC, 10 p.m.).

It’s a two hour recap on “The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) in anticipation of battles that begin next week.

The connection of gunpowder and presidential assassinations is examined on “Six Degrees of Everything” (truTV, 11 p.m.).

Turner Classic Movies’ spotlight on early Hollywood women trailblazers continues with “Dance, Girl, Dance”  8 p.m.), a musical directed by Dorothy Arzner; “Outrage” (9:45 p.m.) and “The Bigamist” (3 a.m.), both  directed by Ida Lupino; “The Heartbreak Kid” (11;15 p.m.) directed by Elaine May; and “First Love” (1:15 a.m.), directed by Joan Darling.

In game two of the WNBA finals, it’s Indiana at Minnesota (ESPN2, 8 p.m.).

In the first NBA preseason games, it’s Boston at Olimpia Milano (NBA, 2:30 p.m.) and Philadelphia at Washington (NBA, 7 p.m.).
