Broadway stars Megan Hilty and Jessie Mueller go country in the new TV bio pic “Patsy & Loretta” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.). Hilty plays Patsy Cline, who is determined to help out a new singer, Loretta Lynn, who paid tribute to the star, recovering from a serious auto accident, in a radio show. The daughters of the two country icons served as co-producers to tell the story of their mothers’ brief friendship.
There’s a number of Halloween specials on, including the decent animated sequels, the 2010 “Scared Shrekless” (Disney XD, 8 p.m.) and the 2009 “Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space” (Disney XD, 8:30 p.m.), the movie “Boo! A Madea Halloween” (Bravo, 8:30 p.m.), as well as the usual spooky dreck like “Ghost Adventures” (Travel, 9 and 10 p.m.).
But watch out, there’s also the hour-long “Countdown to Christmas 10th Anniversary Preview Special” (Hallmark, 10 p.m).
It follows a new film, “Good Witch: Curse from the Rose” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) in which Catherine Bell’s title character meets an old college roommate during town Halloween festivities. James Denton also stars.

M. Night Shyamalan’s superhero thriller “Glass” (HBO, 8 p.m.) makes its premium cable premiere. It stars James McAvoy, Samuel L. Jackson, Sarah Paulson and Bruce Willis.
Also debuting, “The Hummingbird Project” (Showtime, 9 p.m.), starring Jesse Eisenberg and Alexander Skarsgård as a pair of brothers who try to get a jump on financial trading by installing a fiber optic cable from Kansas to New Jersey.
Group dates begin on “Ready to Love” (OWN, 10 p.m.).
Mindy considers divorce despite being pregnant on “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” (OWN, 9 p.m.).
In a new made-for-TV horror movie, a babysitter takes the kids on a hike only to find: “Critters Attack!” (Syfy, 9 p.m.). It’s the fifth film in the “Critters” franchise, with Dee Wallace returning to a cast that also includes Tatiana Washington and Jaeden Noel.
Would you rather watch two reruns of “Bob (Hearts) Abishola” (CBS, 8 and 8:30 p.m.) or two reruns of “The Masked Singer” (Fox, 8 and 9 p.m.)?
Michael Moore’s “Bowling for Columbine” (MSNBC, 9 p.m.) makes its debut on a cable news network (better than another “Locked Up” binge).
Three baby kangaroos and an emu are released in the wild on “Crikey! It’s the Irwins” (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.).
“The Karate Kid” (BBC America, 8:30 p.m.) is followed by “The Karate Kid Part II” (BBC America, 11:30 p.m.).
On Turner Classic Movies, a couple of coming of age tales in Bnegal, Satyajit Ray’s “Panther Penchali” (8 p.m.) and Jean Renoir’s “The River” (10:15 p.m.), make way for the 12 o’clock noir, “This Gun for Hire” (12:15 a.m.), followed by two with Michael Caine, “Gambit” (2 a.m.) and “The Man Who Would Be King” (4 a.m.).
The ALCS reaches Game 6 back in Texas with Yankees at Houston (Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.).
