National Geographic adds a little Hollywood to its annual SharkFest that starts tonight with the special with “Shark Beach with Chris Hemsworth” (Nat Geo, 9 p.m.) featuring the actor from “Thor” in Australia, interviewing 85-year-old ocean photographer Valerie Taylor. It is preceded by the seventh annual edition of “When Sharks Attack” (Nat Geo, 8 p.m.) and is followed with “Rogue Shark?” (Nat Geo, 10 p.m.), ab out a spate of shark attacks in Australia in 2018.
The lingering allegiance to the Lost Cause of the losers of the Civil War is explored in CJ Hunt’s film “The Neutral Ground,” chronicling the fight in New Orleans over Confederate monuments. It makes its premiere on the 34th season premiere of “POV” (PBS, 9:30 p.m.).
