The CW is known for importing all kinds of programming to fill its summer schedule. They hit on a good one by importing the droll New Zealand comedy “Wellington Paranormal” (CW, 9 p.m.), from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. Like their excellent “What We Do in the Shadows,” it mixes its mild scary bits with deadpan nuttiness from a pair of town cops assigned to the oddest cases. There are only six episodes; two show tonight.

Fresh off the entertaining look at Late Night, the new series “History of the Sitcom” (CNN, 9 p.m.) has a lot more ground to cover. It’s fun in the initial episode on family comedies to see the elderly men who played the little boys in “Leave It to Beaver,” “Father Knows Best” and “My Three Sons.” There’s also a glimpse at the unseen first two pilots for “All in the Family” and much tiptoeing around the Cosby issue. A second episode at 10 looks at sex in the sitcom.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals has Phoenix at Milwaukee (ABC, 8 p.m.).

This morning is the men’s final at Wimbledon (ESPN, 9 a.m.).

The British crime drama “Unforgotten” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings), with Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar return for a six-episode fourth season. It’s followed by a new British crime drama “Professor T” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings), starring Ben Miller.

Shark Week begins with “Crikey!” It’s Shark Week” (Discovery, 8 p.m.), “Tiffany Haddish Does Shark Week” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) and a  and a “Jackass Shark Week Special” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).
