Sunday TV: Lighting the White House Tree

L.L. Cool J helps the President and First Lady in “The National Christmas Tree Lighting” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) in Washington, D.C., with performances from H.E.R., Juanes, Ken’ Mo,’ Kristin Chenoweth, Maren Morris, Patti LaBelle, Billy Porter and Chris Stapleton. 

The label from Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss that signed Joe Cocker, Carole King, Janet Jackson and the Police is celebrated in “Mr. A & Mr. M: The Story of A&M Records” (Epix, 10 p.m.), a new documentary series. 

Mother’s wedding in Italy is the site of a number of important confrontations in the penultimate episode of this season’s “Succession” (HBO, 9 p.m.).
