Monday TV: ‘The Julia Child Challenge’

Eight home cooks compete (and maybe speak in a funny accent) in the new culinary competition, “The Julia Child Challenge” (Food, 9 p.m.). Antonia Lofaso is head judge.

The new four-part true-crime documentary series “Secrets of the Chippendale Murders” (A&E, 10 p.m.) follows tonight’s episode of “Secrets of Playboy” (A&E, 9 p.m.), which was the network’s top new series launch in five years.

Sam learns about finance and pronouns on “Better Things” (FX, 10 p.m.).

“The Bachelor” (ABC, 8 p.m.) further digs a hole for himself in a week with the season closes. One finalist split on her own and the other two look to follow suit once they’re told how he had sex with each of them.

“America’s Got Talent: Extreme” (NBC, 8 p.m.) ends its abbreviated season and awards a $500,000 prize. Travis Barker and Avril Lavigne perform, for some reason.

Mrs. Russell finally gets to visit Newport and Marian says yes on a new episode of “The Gilded Age” (HBO, 9 p.m.).

“The Cleaning Lady” (Fox, 9 p.m.) ends its inaugural season.

Chef Marcos injures himself while preparing dinner on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” (Bravo, 8 p.m.).
