Friday TV: Elisabeth Moss in ‘Shining Girl’

The latest series starring Elisabeth Moss, “Shining Girl” (Apple TV+, streaming) is based on a 2013 novel about a reporter assaulted by what turns out to be a time-traveling serial killer. Jamie Bell, Wagner Moura and Amy Brenneman also star.

There would seem little reason to remake a perfect little comedy like “Call Your Agent!” But here’s “Ten Percent” (Sundance Now / AMC+, streaming) which reproduces the stories of the French original with an English-speaking cast.

Two well-loved streaming series, “Ozark” (Netflix, streaming) and “Grace and Frankie” (Netflix, streaming) release their final batches of episodes

Preparations and competition in the World Surf League Championship Tour make up the action in the documentary series “Make or Break” (Apple TV+, streaming).

“Pachinko” (AppleTV+, streaming) is already ending its first season, as is the British “Slow Horses” (Apple TV, streaming) with Gary Oldman.

The original film “Crush” (Hulu, streaming) concerns a young artist forced to join her high school track team in order to pursue someone she has a crush on. Rowan Blanchard, Aulii Cravalho and Isabella Ferreira star.

From France comes the new movie “I Love America” (Amazon Prime, streaming), starring Sophie Marceau as a woman who moves from Paris to Los Angeles to find love.
