The latest series starring Elisabeth Moss, “Shining Girl” (Apple TV+, streaming) is based on a 2013 novel about a reporter assaulted by what turns out to be a time-traveling serial killer. Jamie Bell, Wagner Moura and Amy Brenneman also star. 

There would seem little reason to remake a perfect little comedy like “Call Your Agent!” But here’s “Ten Percent” (Sundance Now / AMC+, streaming) which reproduces the stories of the French original with an English-speaking cast.

The original film “Crush” (Hulu, streaming) concerns a young artist forced to join her high school track team in order to pursue someone she has a crush on. Rowan Blanchard, Aulii Cravalho and Isabella Ferreira star. 

From France comes the new movie “I Love America” (Amazon Prime, streaming), starring Sophie Marceau as a woman who moves from Paris to Los Angeles to find love.
